In 1970 Aluminum Slowpitch Softball bats were first introduced by bat manufacturer Worth Sports. Shortly after, Worth Sports made the first one-piece aluminum Slowpitch Softball bats and the first little league aluminum Baseball bat. In the late 1970s, manufacturer Easton Sports hit the scene with a stronger grade of aluminum and a more durable with better performance Slowpitch Softball Bat. In 1992 a Ball Player from Portland Oregon by the name of Ray DeMarini invented the DeMarini Ultimate Distance Double Wall Slowpitch Softball Bat and changed the game forever. The performance of the bat with the trampoline effect off the barrel was incredible. The Sweet Spot was huge and hard to miss. Many players who had never hit a home run in the life were now enjoying doing exactly that. Worth Sports countered with there own Multi walled bat called the EST in 1997 and those 2 bats were the best in the game until the Composite Slowpitch Softball Bats era that we will talk about below came in. Composite Slowpitch Softball Bat Era: In 2000, Composite Slowpitch Softball bats made a major entrance into the market, with Miken Sports leading the way and it wasn’t long before Composite Slowpitch bats were competing with the leading aluminum bats. Now in 2021 the 100% Composite bats are #1 among both league and USSSA ans ASA Tournament players.
